Waterproof Serial GPS Receiver BR-355
The
BR-355 GPS receiver can be utilized in a variety of applications
that may require magnetic mounting with a WATERPROOF configuration,
non-slip base and compact design. It incorporates the latest SiRF
Star III GPS chipset and an active patch antenna so you receive
the highest degree of GPS accuracy in typical applications which
may include, but are not limited to, marine, aviation, and commercial
environments in such uses as fire truck, police cars, buses, utility
& long haul vehicles. The 5 ft long cable allows for easy routing
behind headliners and side panels to terminate at a custom PS/2
connector for interfacing with one of the available cable kits
that are sold separately (see below).
The
BR-355 can be used to feed GPS output into Moving Map Software
such as OziExplorer CE to display
your location on digital topographic maps (such as those supplied
by Spectrum Digital Imaging)
or marine cartography (Digital
Ocean products) your own scanned maps, or even on aerial photos
or NASA
Satellite Images! (OziExplorer Development Version and CE
addon required.)
