QUEST
BATTERY LIFE
Q: "What is the lifetime of the Li battery in the
Quest?"
A: (From Garmin): "The Quest has a 20 hour battery life and
should be able to do a similar number of charge/discharge cycles as the batteries
used on the Forerunner." [The battery is good for between
1000 and 2000 charge cycles, depending on how deeply discharged the battery becomes
during each charge cycle. You get 20 hours of battery life for every charge cycle.
If you were to use the unit 5 hours a day, that's still 4 days between charges
or about 100 charge cycles per year. If your unit only was good for 1000 charge
cycles, then that's still almost 11 years!] |
