set to haul in the big ones with the Fishfinder 160. Like all Garmin fishfinders,
it has exclusive See-Thru technology, so
can hear both weak and strong signals simultaneously, giving it tremendous dynamic
range. The result is a display that is capable of showing strong fish returns
even when fish are hiding in thermoclines and structure.
Depth Controlled Gain (DCG) automatically adjusts fishfinder sensitivity
according to depth, not echo intensity like other fishfinders. The result is a
much more detailed and accurate picture of bottom structure.
Fishfinder 160 is easy to operate. Just turn it on and go fish. There are no complicated
menus or key functions. A convenient control bar gives you access to the most
commonly used settings.

A transducer is required for operation of the FishFinder 160. A plastic, transom
mount transducer with depth and temperature is supplied with 010-00162-01. If
you wish to use another type of transducer you could purchase the FishFinder 160
without a transducer (010-00162-00) and pair it with one of GARMIN's range of
single-frequency transducers. Click
here for a list of compatible transducers.
